my experience with Wingo travel was good. My friends and I, total 4 of us took their korea winter package last year. The tour guide (Kim) was very friendly and helpful, a really chatty woman. They had a student part-timer to help us take photographs, she's very helpful too. Same for the bus driver, he got this huge LCD tv playing korean movie to entertain us during our long rides. It was overall a pleasant experience. Satisfied with the accomodation and in love with the food! You must like Korean food. Contrary to my experience with other tour (agency), they do not pressure sell you to buy anything. That's what I like the most. I had bad experience with pressure selling in Taiwan.

Me & my hubby went to Korea few years back 2003 for honeymoon. My experience with them was fine, from counter to the tour guide. The tour leader was good(nice guy around 40plus) . The hotels were clean well tidy. We did not expect Hilton or any very grand hotels for we understand what we pay is what we get. I can safely say our group had a very good time in Korea. There was quality in the way the tour was lead and the well organised systemic approach rendered throughout the tour regarding transport, accomodation, meals and sight-seeing, made our journey a pleasant one. The side dishes of kimchi and other prickles were served at every meal as customary of Korean culture. If those people who went they not use to their food, might say that their "food" lousy.
In spite of the apparent similarity in the meals, not complaint from our group instead we enjoy as it difference from Singapore, main dishes of centre hot pot/grill that we had were delicious. Everland or Lotte World in weekdays or weekends it always crowded.

The staff are friendly and helpful especially Esther, I had been dealing with her for the pass few years. She advised me on which airlines to fly with and work according to my budget. I have been to Korea twice with Wingo. As for the tour guide i think it depends . My first tour guide and assistant are really friendly and nice, the second had a bit of attitude problem when we didn\'t buy the Ginseng but his assistant is good. We are still in contact with the assistant. The tour guides are sort of contract with Korea tour agency, so I don\'t blame Wingo, but will feed back about the bad attitude of the tour guide. Food and accommodation are fine. Like I say earlier you pay more you get more. Wingo prices are reasonable.

I totally agree with the majority bad reviews. I called and enquire about air tix, cannot speak properly, and when i said i'd get back to them on their offer, the agent simply slam the phone on me. no Bye. Just SLAM. When i called back immediately to speak to the manager, she just sided her staff and said they all went out for lunch! WTF. 1 min ago i was speaking to ghost isit??! RUDE to the extreme. I will never ever consider buying the air tix from them at all considering the LOUSY impression they left for mi.

My review.
My husband and I went on the 8-day tour of Korea on 30 Sept 2009. Although the group was big (28 Singaporeans)the tour guide Charlie did an excellent job. Together with his assistant who also acted as photographer,he made our tour a memorable one. It was exhausting no doubt as the itinerary included many interesting locations. I remember there were 2 nights that the group toured right till past 9pm. It was not necessary to tip the assistant but because of his good work, we bought his photos which the group appreciated as they were well taken. Nobody was coaxed to buy anything at the different stops. Each one bought according to his/her own needs. The side dishes of kimchi and other prickles were served at every meal as customary of Korean culture and we accepted that. In spite of the apparent similarity in the meals, there was not a single complaint from us, as the main dishes of centre hot pot/grill that we had were delicious.
The hotels were ok, clean and nice. We did not expect Hilton or Mandarin or any very grand hotels for we understand what we pay is what we get. I can safely say our group had a very good time in Korea. There was quality in the way the tour was lead and the well organised systemic approach rendered throughout the tour regarding transport, accomodation, meals and sight-seeing, made our journey a pleasant one. I am an experienced seasoned traveller and I commend Wingo for value for money.
Thanks to Wingo the tour agency, Charlie the tour guide as well as his assistant Daniel and the coach captain, our group had a most enjoyable time. I even heard a family group planning to organise a Spring tour of Korea, such was the joyful experience we had. I must also give credit to the 28 of us in the group. The group dynamic was great and this contributes to the great enyoyment and satisfaction of the tour as a whole.
By the way I am not in any way related to Wingo or in its employment. My review is that of a satisfied customer.

Wingo....Don't worry about bad feedback. I've good experience with your company. Your staff are friendly and nice...but sometime the office can be quite crowded and busy...so as customer we must be patient. I agree with some feedback...yes you pay for what you get! Don't expect 5star for 3star prices. Hey I'll booking with Wingo again soon...this time to Vietnam and I trust Wingo.

Whether your trip is enjoyable will depend on the service at the other end. If you are lucky, you will get a good tour guide. It is here where we post our feedback, and i belief most are just relating how they feel about the tour.

I have been travelling with Wingo for a while & I think that their service is quite good , not as bad as the older posts had said . I would advice that the furture people to not believe the old post as they might been other agents trying to sabotage Wingo's business .

I went with my wife and family to Korea & Jeju 8D last Oct. My experience with them was fine, from counter to the tour guide. Though they are not “as good as” those famous tour agencies, but I think we pay for what we get. Not that bad after all. Just learn not to be fussy and you will appreciate your vacation with them. At least my tour group of about 11 persons have got no complains. Sometimes when see review, most people write review because they are very angry and have bad impression. Those good one never write. So, better don’t always believe in the so called “review”. Not 100% correct. Like what I said, remember, you pay for what you get. It’s fair and square. Don’t agree?

Agree completely. bad service. When i approach them for an answer, they could;nt give and even ask me to write in an email to let them process. I was thinking , they surely will side each other, what for waste time writing in. Lousy tour agency, Never book with them, you;ll regret. Rather spend a few hundred more than join them. OLD AUNTIES AND UNCLES WORKING IN A LOUSY AGENCY. SPEAKING RUDELY !

My whole family of 8 travelled with Wingo to Chiangmai and came back with a terrible diarroea.Their food was lousy and they claimed to have 5 stars hotel for the price we pay..but we ended up in a hotel worst than a 3 star.Never book with this agency again.

Just travelled to Chingmai with Wingo travel agency. Their food was lousy, and they claim to have a 4 star hotel , but in my view, only worst than singapore's hotel 81. The food was atrocious and inedible. It even caused my parents to be down with stomachaches/ The service of the agency is bad, fodd is bad, including the stay. Never book this loouusssyyy travel agency

I just came back from korea. Travelled with Wingo.
It cost $500 cheaper for 2A+2C for the whole tour compared to other agencies.
They quoted 5-6 star hotel but the Hanhwa resort hotels were only 2-3 stars in my opinion. Only the last 2 nights in Sheraton was 5 star. Food was poor quality. One will tend to have a bad impression of korean food if you have not tasted good korean food.
Tour guide did not follow itinery. Ended up in Everland on a weekend. I booked the tour date such that the trip to everland would fall on weekday. Waited long time for rides. Took only 4 rides during the whole day.
Tour guide did not want to go to Lotte world. We insisted, so he grudgingly
gave us only 2 hours at Lotte World including dinner time.
Did not help us to buy the passes to the rides.
Half the trip was coaxing us to buy ginseng, horse bone products, amethyst. If you don't buy, tour guide will pass remarks.
Tour guide was telling us about how previous tourists like him very much and have asked him to be their private guide when they visited korea again.
Photographer during tour very insistent on taking pictures everyday even if you decline. At the end of the trip, will ask you to buy photos at 5000 won for small piece, 10000 won for big piece.
In conclusion, the whole trip was a bad.
I would rather pay more to get better hotels, better tour guide and not a tour where they persuade you to buy things.

Me & my hubby went to Korea few years back. The tour leader was loudsy. Is a freshy elderly woman accompanied by her son during the trip there. She didn't do what a tour leader are expected to do during the trip. She acted like she is leading tour for 1st time! We have to find her in the airport even before departure in SIN. She should have do something i.e. signages to said that which tour agency going to where & stuff like that but no nothing. She was sitting there comfortable when we finally bump her somewhere in the airport. I recalled we even nearly follow another tour group! Verdict, not cheap & not even good!
