I booked a tour pkg (hotel + tkts) to Macau for CNY period from Comet Travel's subsidiary company Boutique Holidays located at Chinatown Point in Nov 2009. The travel agent by the name of Lynn Lim confirmed my Jetstar tickets booking to Macau and I was told to wait for the hotel confirmation before proceeding to the company to make payment. When I returned from my yr-end holiday in mid-Dec, I checked with the agent regarding the status of my hotel booking & I was told that Venetian Hotel has yet to release the room rates for the CNY period & she assured me that she would inform me to make payment the moment her Macau agent confirms the hotel booking. A month before CNY, repeated calls made to the agent's office & handphone went answered. When she did answer, she gave the same reply of the Macau agent not being able to confirm the hotel booking yet but the air tickets are ready. Though suspicious, I decided to give her a chance as I had prior bookings with her that went smoothly. 3 weeks to CNY and not wanting to be a seating duck any longer, I found another travel agent who got me rooms at Venetian Hotel within 24 hrs. When I called agent Lynn Lim to collect my air tkts on 21 Jan'10, she said she needed to retrieve the tkts from her email & would get back to me. As you guessed it, she never did and when I called her again the next day on 22 Jan'10, her colleagues informed me that she was on leave and would only be back on 25 Jan '10!! I checked with her colleagues regarding my tkts but they were not able to help me as the booking was done by her. I called her on a mobile number given by her colleague and when I reached her, she again assured me that the air tkts are ready but she cant remember the amount. She then asked me to collect the tkts on 25 Jan before hurriedly putting down the phone. When I went down to collect my e-tkts on 25 Jan'10 at 3.30pm, Lynn Lim was apparently in a meeting (thou she has arranged to meet me at that time) and I was handed my 2 e-tkts by her colleague. Horror of horrors, I found out that my budget tkts were only booked on 25 Jan at 2.30pm & 3pm after calls to Jetstar as I detected discrepancy in the dates & time from that in Nov. The price of the tkts amounts to about $2600 plus the return flight was 2.30am reaching Spore at 6.15am! I demanded to see her and her colleagues called her on her phone. When I was put on the line with her, she asked me to wait for an hour as she was in a meeting!! When she finally came out frorom her meeting, she reeked of cigarette smell and she gave me a load of crap that the tkts were booked last Nov and that tkts during CNY period would be more expensive! What a truck full of rubbish and she could lie without battling an eyelid! She must have thought that she was talking to an idiot. Who was she trying to hoodwink anyway, in this time & age? I have never met an agent who is as unprofessional as she is and who is an outright liar. This has put a damper on the festive mood of my family & me.

In March this year, i when to Comet Travel, my friend's friend owned the company. It was a small agency located in chinatown at hong lim buidling. My friend intro her to us. This is the 1st travel agency dat i come across, dat prmoise u everything and in the end, tell u tonnes of excuses they cant do it.

*pay by credit card, need to pay charges (while i heard and saw other customer not paying)
*at 1st say can pay by nets, but in the end say no nets manchine
*say hotel list will be given to us 7days b4 departure, in the end say market practise is 1 day b4 departure, and ask us to call taiwan ourselves to get it. (she thinks its the 1st time we go holiday issit?)
*call her dun pick up, sms her dun reply.
*tour guide late, and never even say sorry, very rude and expect us to carry our own luggage into the bus.
*no information, jus bring us here and there w/o telling us any history or story. more like a driver den a tour guide.
